  • Dr. Seemaa Ghate, Ph. D., Women Scientist-B, is a doctorate in ‘Plant Ecology’(Environmental Botany)
  • She did her post-doctoral research on ‘Development of Indoor greenery with the help of phytoremediation’ funded by Department of Science and Technology (D.S.T.), New Delhi in 2011-13.
  • Worked as a Women Scientist-B on ‘Application of Phytoremediation technology in Management and Remediation of Indoor Air Quality’, research project sponsored by D.S.T., New Delhi.
  • Presented research paper at 1st International Conference on Issues in Environmental Pollution at Denver, Colorado (U.S.A.) in 1998
  • She has several years of research experience in the field of Phytoremediation, and has delivered many awareness lectures on the same.
  • She has published and presented many research papers in national as well as international research journals. (Links of papers given) 
  • She has written many articles in Marathi magazines. And also written articles in Marathi as well as English newspapers. 
  • Dr Seemaa has published a bi-lingual book on ‘Greening with Ecofriendly plants’, one of its kind in the country, which consists of 80 plants that are knows to mitigate environmental pollution.
  • She has worked as a co-author for a chapter in a book published by John Wiley and Sons Ltd., UK. Name of the book is Handbook of Ecological and Ecosystem Engineering.   • Received ‘ Sahitya Gaurav Puraskar’ for her first published book, ‘Greening with Ecofriendly plants’.
  • Association of Scientists, Developers and Faculties [ASDF] has conferred   GLOBAL  AWARD  V 10.0 for Best  Industry Research, 2020 for her outstanding work in research. She has developed a product (Phytoremediator) for indoor environment to reduce indoor pollutants.  It can be the best product to develop an industry as it is based on thorough research. It is green solution for indoor pollution.
